South Carolina Mitigation Association
Communication – For Immediate Release
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has communicated to the South Carolina Mitigation Association (SCMA) that the SCDOT has decided to delay publication of solicitations of wetland/stream mitigation credits (IFB’s) in four South Carolina watersheds. This delay was explained to allow the SCDOT to focus on other mission critical issues at this difficult time. These IFB’s were discussed in our SCMA March Meeting at SCDOT headquarters in Columbia. The SCDOT indicated that the IFB’s likely would be pushed out to May. The SCMA will provide any additional notifications from the SCDOT upon receipt.
Who We Are
SCMA is hard at work introducing the organization to the regulatory, economic development, and conservation communities across the state. Quarterly membership meetings provide an opportunity to discuss the current happenings in our industry, get updates from our committees, and become educated from experts in the field.
The South Carolina Mitigation Association promotes an active and efficient mitigation marketplace that supports ecological function and economic development within the State. Our mission is achieved through participation by industry professionals, including mitigation bankers, environmental consultants, engineers and contractors, and collaboration with regulatory agencies and conservation organizations.
